The cold night air bit at the fleeing prisoners faces and the rain lashed at them. They ran through the gate of the wall around the palace and out into a large city. Unlike Saphrythes capitol city, the houses and buildings of this one were made of stone and stood several stories high. There were no trees along the side of the rode, nothing green grew. It was a very official city; spotlessly clean except for the running rain water.
